Current packages are $16.50 (alias search) and $22.00 (county level), billed by TopChecked.

Who runs the background checks?
Background checks in August are provided by our partner, TopChecked. August sends the invitation and shows the results; TopChecked performs the screening and handles the candidate's disclosure and consent on its own portal.
How much does a background check cost?
August customers get exclusive TopChecked pricing. In-app packages currently include an alias search package for $16.50 and a county-level package for $22.00 per check. TopChecked bills you directly, separate from your August subscription.
When are background checks sent?
You can send a check manually, add it as an automation on a hiring pipeline stage, or include it in an onboarding packet so it's sent automatically to every new hire.
Do returning employees need a new check every season?
Not necessarily. If an employee has a background check from the last six months, August can count it so they aren't asked to complete another one.
Where do results show up?
Results are sent back to August automatically and appear on the employee's profile and on the background checks page of your dashboard.
How do I get started?
